Fear Not

Fear Not
Samuel S. Adams

Why are you afraid? We should make our every worry and fear face this question. In any and every instance, when and where the comrades of fear show their ancient and evil faces, they should be met with our sovereign will and self-ownership. When panic or self-doubt creeps or crescendos, we should look them in the eye with the double-edged sword of internal fortitude that makes them answer for their presence. Why are you here? The illumination of this simple head-on question is more than fear can withstand. It, like all darkness, scatters before the light of open confrontation.

Love covers a multitude of sins. We all have the full potential of good and evil within. We all carry our own burdens, our own failures and faults, our own cultivated darkness as we journey toward something lighter, yet we can be confident that where our hearts are pure and our intentions are love, our impact is certainly covered with grace.

We are significantly becoming our attention. What has our attention, what our minds look upon, what our eyes think about, there is where we are headed toward. Goodness does not weigh itself down considering the comings and goings of fear; the apple of its eye is the brilliant light of a new beauty. Fear gets the attention of a swift end. Love points its time and attention toward beautiful things. Goodness freely gives; in chains worry takes.

Have you not considered the splendor of the lilies of the field? Why are you afraid?

Feeling loved is a superpower because the truth is a superpower, and there is no greater truth than you are loved.

Fear is a liar.

Why are you afraid? Have you ever really known? Will you?
