A Winning Life

A Winning Life
Samuel S. Adams
This will hit many of you hard. Beyond not doing what you know you should do, you are about to find out why your life is so stressful.

Freedom is forgiving in such a way that we instinctively see that person as if they had never done that thing.

Everything else is found on the scale of bondage. Everything. There are no exceptions, and there never will be.

Total forgiveness is its only true form; the other cheap and easy versions betray us there in the darkness where our boasting wisdom does not care to look, its thin blade strikes from the shadows of our pride, its cruel whip enslaves all whose constitution fails this, the only measure.

If you can’t forgive in this manner, you have surrendered sovereignty to something, to someone. Our options for freedom are fully forgiving or removing ourselves from those who have, or that which has, done us wrong.

When we hold someone’s wrongs over them in anywhere but distant memory, that relationship is already gone; we have been enslaved by them. When we remain where we can not forgive fully due to continued violations of the natural law, that thing has enslaved us. When we stay where we are mistreated, we turn ourselves over to that person or that place… we clasp the irons upon our own wrists, hand them the key, and ask how I might serve you master.

Victory is in fully forgiving anywhere and everywhere possible, removing ourselves from the place / person, or waging war against that which continues its evil toward us.

Removing ourselves from whomever or whatever is, in this place and time, incapable of right relationship, isn’t to hold that ingress against them; it isn’t to brude in wrath or strategize how to get back at them. Quite the opposite, it is to store up love and mercy for when that misstep is in the past.

Lower vibrations keep ever-deepening wounds in full view, disallowing the healing nature of true forgiveness, space, or *war to take place… here, rage and anger, which have their right place and time, snap off of their fruit-bearing vine and fuel the darkening of all hearts involved. Generations have come and gone, and empires have risen and fallen within the same corruption that inevitably fills all who ignore the natural law of forgiveness.

  • *Yes, at times, in rare cases, war is necessary to heal the land and the souls within it. For more on this topic: Make Ready

Forgiveness is win-win; both the forgiven and forgiver are greatly blessed. Forgiveness is the great power tiller of character development, as the Right Arm of Love, and unlike anything else, forgiveness unlocks the place we have always wished to be and that person we have longed to become. It takes determinative fortitude and a yet unrealized strength to forgive and look upon the one who came up short as who they are, their eternal soul. It requires that same manifest love to receive forgiveness and continue the relationship without the maw of shame and fear tearing at us. The poison pill of guilt, which, at times, lives within every spirit and finds a host in every mind, waylays every calling and leaves most missions on the forever launchpad.

Forgiveness is what your heart has been longing for.

In the clear of the night, you can feel its pull; in the stillness of an honest moment, we all hear its invitation.

Remember, you have done similar things, and they don’t even know what they are doing.

“Everybody leaves the garden,

Everybody needs a home,

Everybody is scared of dying,

But no one wants to roll away the stone.

Go on and roll away the stone.”
