Law of Love

Music to listen to as you read: Stories by Judah Earl

As a people, as a culture, as a civilization… as a soul, and as an individual, we are all on a journey toward many things. We win here, we lose there, we grow from this, we grow from that… and on this road, within our eternal mission toward self and beauty, we are greatly helped when we come alongside timeless principles that are present wheresoever this may find us.

The Law of Attraction is one of these immovable golden threads woven throughout time and space. Such ageless meta-truths cannot be ignored; not only is fighting them a fool’s errand, it is impossible to merely side-step, or even forget them. Everywhere we think we might leave behind such seemingly inconvenient truths, there in the shadows of our willfully turned attention, its wake builds towards a crashing tsunami.

Yes, we all know too well that there are times when we give the best of us, when we release good things, and there are those who see that light, and in return bring darkness. All those who think they are above such laws of the universe, seen and unseen, will one day wish they had not fought such unstoppable forces.

Like all such laws, these highest axiomatic truths are both incredibly simple and eternally deep. Good things attract good things. Love given grows love. Putting others first attracts them to consider you more. It is better to give than to receive, when we give with genuine joy, when our gift is released without the cold corrosion and entanglements of manipulation and control, a garden is planted that is filled with never-before-seen warmth, and such beautiful things we thought were only for the hallmark movies.

As we adventure towards beauty, beauty both in ourselves and others, our way is brightened by giving off our light. Such giving takes courage, it takes growth, it takes stretching what we thought we deserve, and others might receive.

This pursuit is most certainly not easy.

This road less traveled must have our strength and dedication; it demands bravery and an understanding of our place with our fellow man. All too often we limit the giving of our love to ways we have seen, or ways we have been given love. It is up to us to interrupt this cycle of sameness, we can all step out of the repetition of fear driven bordom we have been in for years… maybe it is something our families have been stuck in for generations. Attracting these big things comes when we stretch our love beyond what we have been given in the past, it comes when we determine to be the nova of light, a new catalyst of courage and creation, when our hearts, like the birth of a star give love in new meaningful ways.

When we think we are above this Law of Love we live our darkest days, when we embrace it, we experience our own renaissance and enlightenment… unimaginably incredible things burst seemingly out of nowhere, everywhere we turn there is a new beauty waiting to be experienced. In such moments we must all be careful not to forget what caused such beauty for the moment we stop attracting, the moment we stop giving out of the gratiousness of our hearts, the moment we introduce the decay manipulation the end of these good things has already begun, for when we give just to get, we have not given at all, we, like a witch with a spell in our atempt to control another, have decieved ourselves.

The greatest truths are always held with the greatest tensions, we should be aware that if we give out good things, good things will come to us, only our heart will know if we give because we genuinely care to bless those to whom we give or if that gift is from the greed of control. We must be loving and forgiving toward others and ourselves, for we are all certainly not perfect and will feel the daily pull toward light and dark, good and evil, and that is ok; we should not get wrapped up in our lack of perfection, or be discouraged by it. The tension within our own hearts and motivations is itself a fruitful adventure that we should embrace and enjoy.

What got us where we are will keep us where we are.

New things come from new things.

Focus on the love, focus on the good, for our attention is atraction. We should all be ok with not being perfect; the lack of forgiveness toward ourselves and others will always be the heavy chains that anchor us to where we wished we had never been. We must all look ourselves in the mirror, love what we see with everything we have, we are who we are, and that is a beautiful thing.
