By Courage Alone

Status: Rough Draft

One of the reasons it is so important to be courageous is that it's the only way to find the right type of enemies, and only when you attract those kinds of enemies might you learn to love your enemy and bless those who persecute you. Only with these types of enemies can one learn to prefer mercy over judgment and be outrageous for those who sneak around to better themselves at your expense.

Courage always breaks the rules. If any course of action were strictly adhering to precedent and existing rule set, no courage would be necessary.

All people, cultures, nations, and eras will be defined first and foremost by courage or fear.

  • There is a male and female version of each. Both can be adorned by the other but are primarily their own.

    • Male courage sees problems that exist due to the agreed-upon systems and structures in place and boldly seeks to change them for the betterment of all.

    • Female courage mothers male courage; it nurtures it and defends it. It supports it with wisdom and intuition. Where it sees progress under attack it, like a mother bear, steps in and sets the record straight.

    • Male fear hates courage. It is outwardly filled with anger and rage. Wherever it sees courage, it seeks to destroy it.

    • Female fear hates courage. In subversion and self-promoting gossiping and whispers, seeks to uphold the bureaucratic standards that hold progress back.

Courage demands a response. No matter how small the vessel, its wake shakes every room. Within the foundation of every soul, whether one knows it or not, there is a journey toward and a longing for Courage, and therefore it can not be ignored; it must be reconciled with. Courage stirs every good heart to action and every coward to betrayal. The attention that courage receives is not with, by, or from any loud intention but stems from the natural byproduct of striking directly to the core of the human spirit.

While courage is selfless, fear is selfish and pusillanimous. Fear begets fear; it is always timid, it flees though none pursueth. Fear is always seeking to appear as its opposite; the more large and in charge it presents itself to be, the more unstable the house of cards really is. Fear is always inconsequential outside of its knife that thirsts for a back turned.

Courage is open and raw with emotion. Fear is always deceiving; it hides itself, using openness as a weapon against the courageous.

Courage is.

Fear seems to be.

A healthy culture must always bend toward courage. Without courage, we become the very enemy we root against in every story ever told. Without courage, we all fall into subversion, lies, and deceit, or we slip into the void of unproductive meaninglessness, for without courage, without the chief virtue, the only way to do anything significant will place you firmly on the scale of malevolence. There isn’t any courage-void middle ground with notable achievements; all who run from courage will find their every mission rife with the bedfellows of betrayal.

Without courage, there is no honor at all, no chin held high, or confident eye to meet. Outside of courage, there is no understanding of oneself, for the most important question ever and always demands the most sacrifice: Who am I?

A good heart check is when you see the person who has misstreated you.. what are your first emotions? Hope of restoration through courage and strength? Hatred? Fear.. that will lead to hatred? Terror?

The greatest defeat of an enemy is to render them friend. This process does not run from what is right; there is no surrender in courage, it moves in love and in all things works to build something, preferring restoration over destruction. Courage is the gateway to meekness and all true inheritance. When the fires burn, there alone remains Courage.

Restoration alone brings Victory.

Greatness befriends its enemies.
