Pass it on
This post is a continuation of the post: Be Vast and the post: as ye sow
Pass it on.
When I say, pass it on. What I do not want you to do is pass on this article. Or any post on this site, or anything I have ever said.
It must be you.
Pass you on. It has to be you. As much of you as possible, as often as possible, to as many people as possible, with as much vigor as possible, from the deepest parts of you, from the places you only dare whisper. Pass on those words you earned in long toil and from the times great pain and great joy. Raw is good.
Make sure to include the tough stuff, often the more offensive the more effective. Is offense not the nature of change, is change not the nature of growth, is growth not the nature of progress, is progress not the nature of thriving?
Who are you?
You are vast.
We must Hold the Tension, the Greatest Truths are there drowning.
As I did in the post, Be Vast. I would like to recommend some music as you read this post.

Some links are to the full poems from which the quotes were taken.
This post includes quotes from people in my life who inspire me and everyone who has ever been so fortunate as to spend time with them.
If you are going to try, go all the way, otherwise, don’t even start.
- Charles Bukowski Who am I?
It is thee question.
You are who you are.
You are who you have been.
You are who you came from.
You are what you have been around.
You are what has your attention.
You are who you know.
You are what you value.
You are Yourself.
You hold tension.
You are Vast.
“If you’re human, you’re physical and spiritual.
You’re meant to be both.
The more you grow one, you make room for the other.
To be more spiritual, you need to take on more of the physical.
Each one stewards the other.”
- Deeter CeslerThe gap between our spiritual/intellectual and practical stewardship is the degree to which we miss the mark as individuals, families, or societies.
Did you tackle that trouble that came your way?
- Edmund Vance CookeWhat we have seen, what has been, the experiences we have had and have shared, these are the greatest chains of mind, body, soul, will, intellect, hope, love, and even fear.
Few escape this prison; most live and die within its cell.
Most stay dancing to those shadows on the wall, clinging to the familiarity of it all.
The Unknown is Mans Greatest Failure.
It is why we ate the apple.
It is why most never meet themselves.
Goodness expects the Unknown.
Greatness embraces the Unknown.
Heroes set the stage for the Unknown and invite their friends.
Be Brave.
Become familiar with the Unknown.
Every man is lost until he goes through the fire and meets the violent warrior.
This alone aligns the soul of a man to their being. The answer to THEE question: “Who am I" isn’t answerable until this moment, until a man meets his true self. The whole of the heavens and earth play on the scale of violence, and until a man aligns with this highest reality, he will always be a pawn; he will always feel hollow.
Every man who has yet to align himself to the awesome and dangerous presence within will lack confidence, fear this, fear that, complain, delay, and hesitate at the moment of action. Until the meeting of the self and the warrior, all the therapy and kisses in the world will be found wanting.
If you know a man who is struggling, he needs to be pushed to the edge, physically and mentally, by men who believe in him; it needs to hurt BAD. Until a man is a warrior, he is a house of cards. Always. He will betray. He will cower. He will continue to embarrass himself.
The West is full of empty men who have given up on there even being an answer.
Be Dangerous
Do Justly
Love Mercy
This is the only way there ever was, and ever will be.
Be Brave
Make Ready
Wage War
Only boring people are capable of being bored.
- Joeseph J. AdamsHistory is a story of the Wildlings breaking down the walls and sacking cities of far greater sophistication. Therefore, there is nothing so sweet as passing on modernity’s ability to overwhelm evil. Men, if you are ill-equipped to pass on this highest axiom of civilization, it’s time to ask thee question a bit more often: Who am I?
Men are thus made - Samuel S. Adams
Witting and unwitting, it’s that spark we seek,
Delight and dread wake to test its heat,
For some, yesteryear lingers towards times fleeting grin,
For some, ;lijg ae;kf ts;lkfgio lh;lwkgjos pfpidgj!
Tailwinds under full sail for the crowds riding high,
Who wanders the narrows, into the wind and darkened sky,
Only when the bulwark slips beneath,
Our eyes find their smile, there is no retreat,
Hither and Thither, off we go,
We guide the mess, the listing, the to and the fro,
At the helm, above the houl, we shout HARD TO PORT!
Men are thus made when the time is too short,
Red morning, good morning, the course has been set,
Abandon the ship, in our minds whispers the depths,
Oh dear, we dare, my darling, goodnight,
The waves crash down, the horizon in sight,
Reefing! FURL THE SAILS, this wind brings us home,
No other forever has set the table for the friend and the foe.
We are headed for some place a little further down the road.
- Jason UptonYour mission on earth is where your timeless soul meets your present self.
Your mission begins by radically accepting who you are and where you are right now.
- Brittany Hard-R AdamsIf it never does roar out of you, do something else… Unless it comes out of your soul like a rocket… Unless being still would drive you to madness… don’t do it…
- Charles Bukowski You are you. You are in charge of you. You are your hero. No one will defend you where you do not. You must be there for you. You must be you. You will attract what you allow. You will have more of what you look away from yet stay close to. You owe you to be more of you, there is nothing you need more… than you. When you’re you first, you are ready for those who are not you. Whatever you become it must come from you. All the outside things must form in you, by you, to be your version of that thing. You. You. You. Always You. Always You if you want to love another. Always you if you want to do anything well. Always you if you want to feel right and whole. Always You. Always You. Always You.
“We cannot trade short-term compassion for long-term devastation.”
- William B. Woodward If your allowance for how your close friends behave/talk is different from what you allow your leaders to do/speak, the chains you find yourself bound by are significantly of your own making/begging.
I know so many of you. It’s so lame, pathetic, and void of honor.
It is no different than saying they get walls around their houses and neighborhoods, but we can’t have them around our nation. It is no different to saying they get to be protected by guns, but we have to stay victimised.
Though wise men at their end know that dark is right…
Their frial deeds might have danced in the green bay…
and learned too late, they grieved it on its way…
- Dylan ThomasInk on paper… has been and always will be loose guidelines.
Power is Law
The Greatest of all Power for the common man is FEAR.
They fear men united. That’s it. THATS IT.
All of history is this story more than any other story.
Their increased fear of us will bring unimaginable change.
Goodness is Rising
Who you are: It’s written in your blood. It’s written in the stars. - Brittany R. Adams“There is a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out… …but I’m too tough for him… but I’m too clever.”
- Charles BukowskiInviting the feminine to own what is inherently masculine is to take the apple from her hand again.
You, and everything you love is going to die.
Yes, the opposite is also true.
Men spent ages building a world safe enough to allow women to shine in their indescribable feminine glory.
Collectively, we over-rotated by pointing them toward Saul’s armor.
We should dare to slow the pendulum at true north.
If you boil it slow enough, 80% of people can be convinced of just about anything.
- William B. WoodwardSorry, I could not travel both and be one traveler… both that morning equally lay in leaves no step had trodden black…”
- Robert Frost“Contentment comes from a posture of gratitude for what you have while leaving space open for making changes and improvements.
Complacency is laziness, it is settling for where we are or what we have because it is as good as it can get.
Ask yourself:
Am I telling myself the truth?
Am I doing as much as I should… could?”
- Ryan Mark Mullins“The vision seriously intends to stay… Will time say nothing but I told you so? If I could tell you, I would let you know.”
- W. H. AudenIf your allowance for how your close friends behave/talk is different from what you allow your leaders to do/speak, the chains you find yourself bound by are significantly of your own making/begging.
If you can trust yourself while all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting too… if you can think and not make thoughts your aim…
if you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, or walk with kings nor lose your common touch… if all men count with you, but none too much…
If
- Rudyard Kipling“Fools build doors of mal-intent and then get mad when it swings both ways.”
- William B. Woodward These odd ones, not many, but from them come the few good paintings, the few good symphonies, the few good books and other works…
- Charles Bukowski“The advice I tell myself:
“I like the way I’m doing this better than the way you’re not doing it.”
All diets and exercise work. You just have to actually do it.
Outside of acts of God, most decisions you make can be fixed.
It might cost something, but very few are irreversible.”
- Andy Shawk Cannon to the right of them,
Cannon to the left of them,
Cannon in front of them,
Vollied and Thurndard,
Stormed at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of death,
Into the mouth of hell rode the 600…
When Can their Glory faide…
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
- Lord Alfred TennysonWhat are the fear responses that do not allow you to think or access your true self?
What is the evidence that you are conforming to a norm more than being true to yourself?
Offense & Emotion.
Who said it?
What will people think?
What will it cost me… Financial Impact.
An ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance…
Do not dream half a dream… half an idea will bear you no results… half a life is a life you didn’t live, a word you have not said… for you are not half a being, you are a whole that exists to live a life.
- Khalil Gibran“DO GOOD
BE DANGEROUS”
- Shogun Sage the Great Khan Musashi Some lose all mind and become soul:
Insane
Some lose all soul and become mine:
Intiliectual
Some lose both and become:
Accepted.
