What’s it all about

When we look back, we see the world as so much more than we had thought it to be. When we look forward, we imagine a world full of many spectacular differences. Yet, in our day, we tend to celebrate those who say the same thing with greater levels of conviction.

When we look back in time, we see innumerable flaws everywhere we look. In self-aggrandizing juxtaposition, we tout our innate superiority over those whose shoulders we stand. Most of what was, was the way it was, because that was the way it was, and it remained that way until someone dared to say and be something new. We drift along while taking credit for the few strange ones who dared to do something different and be something more. Et Tu. Yet we are unwilling to question the very pillars that have been continuously evolving, we abandon logic and leave reason behind, somehow believing we live in the exact moment where everything changed up until the point of our current convictions.

  • Scientific certainties

  • Medical certainties

  • Governmental certainties.

  • Spiritual certainties

  • Moral certainties

Our delusions continue as we treat our leashed waddling to the edge of our on-cam play-pin like it took the courage of wandering into the unknown and risking to be something more. No one believes they are braver than those who champion the post-World War II central bank global agenda targeted at the managed decline of free people. These faux rebels have the support of the most expansive global power in world history, yet they will look you dead in the eye and describe their plight as if they were one of the 300 standing against the armies of the King of the Earth, Xerxes.

For those with any logic remaining, let me toss you this softball. Rebels do not advocate for their own weakness and their enemies’ strength. The same people who think they are rebelling against this system pursue, with all their passions, for that very system to be the sole arbiter of violence. If you are, to the slightest degree, in possession of your own soul, this should give you pause. They are, of course, not rebelling against the system; they are those very systems’ automaton-play-things who dance to their every whim. They are the savage orks from LOTR, the robotic storm troopers from Star Wars, the mindless white walkers from GOT, but at least these hordes owned what they are. Our times swarm of locusts consume everything in their path as they look down on all others with levels of holier-than-thou moral superiority that would have shamed the most pompous middle-aged Catholic. They get to have your cake and eat it too.

The Scientific, Medical, Governmental, Spiritual, and Moral certainties aren’t the half of it. The way change arrives for each of these, and the countless others, will offend all those holding the reins of power. With the same anticipatory viewing of a familiar Broadway musical, the plot rolls out in predictable fashion; those in power will do whatever they can to keep the gravy train rolling. They will put up fancy rules and regulations so that only they are official, they will pull on the heartstrings of the unwitting and demonize, they will lobby the government to make what threatens their status illegal, they will go to celebrities knowing the thoughtless will believe they are worth listening to, they will Trump up charges and make arrests, and claim offense toward God, and shout blasphemer. They will do whatever they can to keep progress away…. AND they will call that progress.

The answer is both something new and what is ancient. Newness always offends what it seeks to change. Change takes its most disruptive form when something ancient and unchanging that is understood with a deeper wisdom is applied to our shared world. Accompanying such a renaissance are the loudest eruptions and most devious schemes. The perfect storm of their bi-directional tantrums forms out of their disrespect for the past and misunderstanding of the future. Everything is perfectly out of place for these double-minded, prideful worshipers of both themselves and their overlords.

So be it. Progress comes no other way. It never has, and it never will.

We must embrace offending ourselves and the certainties standing in the way of where our hearts long to be.

Love yourself enough to be yourself. Who we truly and fully are will always bring a magnitude of unique beauty, causing others to cry wolf.
