Our spiritual and physical freedom are intertwined; they move with the same tune and are awakened by a shared sun.

Few within the cacophony of natural health meditation junkies have even considered, let alone reached for, the true fruit of spiritual pursuits. Such journeys are not for coping with life’s common struggles; that is a byproduct. The modalities of the unseen and the stewardship of our spirit aren’t toward some zen state or mastering some religious bureaucrat’s interpretation of certain words spoken long ago. The realm of our soul is a grand adventure toward a yet-to-be-realized beauty. This journey isn’t filled with earth tones, dreadlocks, and drum circles on a mission toward the perfect high; it is filled with the forcful actions of those who have mastered dominance while on the bravest of missions to defeat the tyrant that threatens the purpose and calling from both within our own hearts and the spirit of control which outwardly oppresses each soul and our fellow man. Freedom is both the process and the goal.

Our freedom within is diminished to the degree we have surrendered the dignity and sovereignty of our soul to another. As the communist block suffered in the arts and creativity, so has our ability to create and adventure toward a new beauty been waylaid to the extent someone else sits on the throne belonging to, and destined for, our unique self.

For most, the journey never begins. Most are wholly incapable of thinking or briefly imagining anything outside the boundaries of our sovereignty. Where our control ceases, there ends all our senses. Past what we have the ability to impact, few ever even glimpse. We, therefore, never have the hope of saying that which lies beyond the dull sameness that has been suffocating beauty for years, for centuries, for millennia.

Again, our safety dictates our ability to think; only the most courageous can even notice silhouettes or shadows beyond what they are applauded for. Only the bravest might whisper anything that strays past what the people they value deem admissible.

Only when we have ownership over our physical self do we set our soul up to pursue what we might become. Freedom itself inherently extends thee question forward into the unknown: Who am I?

Control buries this question, our souls journey in the depths of self-imprisonment, self-hatred, and the fear that fills the days of all who have lost control.

Where we are afraid, we cannot see the new beauty coming our way. Like ships in the night, it passes us by, sometimes, never to be seen again. Why are you afraid?
